Since the construction of the chateau in the 15th century,
vineyard has always been present on the property

Nowadays, the chateau has a 28 hectares vineyard and produces three different AOC wines under the name “Château de Brissac”:

    Red wines:
 - AOC Anjou Villages Brissac
     
     Rosé wine:
- AOC Rosé d’Anjou
- AOC Cabernet d'Anjou

"The five century vinegard" was planted in 2002 to celebrate the 500 years of the Cossé family at the chateau. It offers a panoramic viewpoint onto the façades of the chateau.

  • ANJOU VILLAGE BRISSAC :      
    Deepand dark red in colour, great care is taken to tailor these wines to produce the substance and flesh on the palate which is needed for ageing.
Deep, strong and often dark ruby red appearance. Dominating mellow aromas of liquorice and black fruits, veering to leathery and earthy undergrowth. Fine tannic body on the palate, combined
with true finesse.

    
• CABERNET D'ANJOU:
A tender and refreshing rosé.Bright, crystal clear appearance of raspberry red or with glints of salmon pink. Notes of small red fruits (strawberry, redcurrant), rose, English candy, with a fresh finale of mint and white pepper. The ultimate wines for gourmands, tender rosés are round and mellow on the palate with a liveliness that compensates for the sweet sensation and refreshes the finish.
• ROSÉ D’ANJOU :
  A clear reflection of their climate,, these wines are tender and ever so slightly mild, and there are at their best when still in the full bloom of youth.
